I saw this movie a few days ago with a friend and OMFG it was the funniest comedy I have seen in a long time and the cast chosen in the film was superb, I was truly in tears of laughter by the end...

Alan Tudyk from Firefly was amazing in the movie, I loved his character so much...

So many great moments in the film

Have you guys seen the gag reel?

It's on youtube

When the short guy was showing the other actors the photographs, he was really showing them gay porn to make the actors react.

Mildly enjoyable film. But Alan Tudyk was great and I loved the scene where the son has his revelation about his father.

I didn't think it was worth creating a new thread over, but they're making an English version of this. Oh wait, the original was already in English which makes this remake completely pointless. Strangely both movies have Peter Dinklage playing the same character (if not in name, then in actions).

:wtf:

Where's that Picard facepalm image when you need it?

I thought it was one of the worst films I saw last year. I never saw the end of it cos we turned it off after the whole falls-out-the-coffin scene. Really really poor.

It pisses me off that they're doing a remake of Death At A Funeral after it's been a year since the original came out. And what makes me angry with it is that it's a complete rip-off of the movie down at the title and the jokes (the father's body being switched with someone else's, the disgruntled relative, the body falling out of the coffin, the sister's boyfriend high on drugs, the dwarf blackmailing the brother about his father's secret life, etc.). The only difference between the original and this movie is that the remake's cast is mostly black.

I really enjoyed Death at a Funeral. It's a shame it didn't make a bigger splash over here in the States, but I think the subtlety of a slow-burn comedy is lost on a lot of audiences over here. I'm sure the Americanized version they're planning will be suitably fast, loud, and unfunny.

The only thing I like about this is the thought that Peter Dinklage just roves from funeral to funeral blackmailing the families of his gay conquests.

I'm pretty amused that Peter Dinklage is playing the same part in the American remake. But I suppose it's hard to top him--he's been pretty great in everything I've seen him in.

I loved the original Death at a Funeral. The remake looks like a retread of the original, almost shot-for-shot. I mean, I'm sorry James Marsden, you're a good actor and all, but I have a hard time imagining you'll top Alan Tudyk.
