Shooting in Toronto means that whenever the Vasquez Rocks finally make their obligatory appearance, the crew will have to make a special trip for that episode.

I do. Just outside of Toronto. In fact my wife was contacted about having the production film at her work some time in August. But this was before the show runners were replaced, and there’s been no follow up since so it looks like it’s not happening. Sucks because I would’ve been able to be there.

I live in Toronto, and I've worked on conventions here (I worked on Toronto Trek/Polaris for several years), but as far as I know I don't know anyone who's actually been on the sets. I've known Robyn Stewart, the show's Klingon translator, for nearly 30 years - we met in a theatre company at university - but even she's never been on the sets. She did her work remotely, from Vancouver, and they hired a local dialogue coach.

I live near where they film in the T dot. I've met many from the production team at various events last yr, around the time they were filming 14/15. They definitely signed some tight NDAs. Couldn't get any spoilers but I wasn't really trying.

Four hours and change away by VIA Rail...I'd love to visit Toronto again, and actually get a look.

OH well...

I just hope they're looking at Kevin Jardine's Galaxy Map blog...

Unless they're filming on location, no one is ever going to see the sets. Pinewood Studios TO is an enormous building in the Docklands area, built on a large plot that used to house factories and shipping structures. The interesting stuff is far from prying eyes.
