i really wanna be old (not in a wish my life away thing just idk) but at the same time i’m terrified of getting older. im 18 in a few months and meant to have sent my uni application in which i keep postponing bc how am i at that point already?? but also i really wanna be an actual adult or whatever age i get to be stable and stuff.

"Actual adult" is a moving target. I'm 56 and still don't feel like one sometimes. Enjoy each day as it comes.

Definitely. Never understood the appeal because half the time I feel like I'm winging it and the other half I have no idea and just fake it really well.
Frankly you are on the right path, and enjoy your teen years.by actual adult i more mean, a (any) form of self sufficiency and hopefully some stability like my parents are 40 but they act my age despite the way they act i’d still say actual adult only bc they now have a house and “reliable” jobs. I understand what you guys mean probably is a bit of a fantasy but whatever - I am finally enjoying being a teenager (even if nearly 18 is a bit late) like a lot!! I’m content with it for now

i'm 46 going on 28. i'm finally ready to think about family and kids. smh.
