Anyone keeping CBS All Access during Discovery's hiatus?

I'm curious. Is anyone keeping CBS-all-access right now but only canceling during the time of year when "Discovery" is on?:) Someone must be a fan of the ole opposite day, concept!

Jason

Now they are offering 50% off for two months if I subscribe by 12/8. What are the start and end dates for the second half of the season?

And now, they just offered me a free month if I join by Jan 2 (code: BINGENOW). That I might do.

I think they are really worried about losing subscribers when DSC goes into hiatus.

I'm in the free month now. No way I'm paying for a service that only has two shows I want to see. (The Good Fight is the other one.) My sub runs out January 2, but after Discovery comes back I'll just get someone else in the household to sign up for their free month.

Well, maybe three shows. They've also got the non-remastered TOS versions, and it's kind of fun to compare the two versions.

I may cancel to see if get offer for cheaper non-commercial. I went cheap and got the with commercial and they are kind of a pain.

ok they got me - I hit the cancel subscription button and it popped up and said .... Get one free month for staying. So I clicked ok and got my free month added to account.

When I went to cancel they offered me the month for free. I will cancel when discovery is done. I think most people are going to evolve a pattern where they turn various services on and off.

That should get you through four of the remaining six, plus any you've missed, without paying a penny - and who knows what they'll offer by the end of the month?

Thanks, I tried using it, said code wasn't valid. Maybe because I tried it for the $10/month plan which I previously had.

I cancelled my sub right after Black Friday (had cheapskate friends over for a marathon). Just used a 50% off for two months, which means I can get through the rest of Season One, then cancel again until the premiere of Season Two, sometime in 2019.

The fine print for BINGENOW says its for the $5.99 commercials plan. I'm just going to wait till after Jan 7 and pay for 1 month to cover the rest of the season.

I think fans need a reality check: CBS AA doesn't live or die because of Star Trek. Most of its subscribers are going to be Showtime subscribers with the CBS AA add-on.

Some folks love it..........they could prob launch another NCIS and people would sign up for NCIS: Tampa...........

Yes, this... AA had amassed a subscriber base near or at 2 million without the mighty Trek brand onboard. It's not going to crash and burn because of whatever possible, bad thing that could/might/mean wishing for, happen to Discovery.
