Anyone have the Archos AV500/504/604/605?

I'm thinking about getting an Archos personal media recorder and wondered if any readers have experience with the AV500/504/604 or 605 models. The AV500 does not require a cradle to record video, whereas the others do as they are newer.

Any advice from owners?
