Anyone else here with ADHD?

it was a joke.

This reminds me of the time I e-mailed someone asking him if he had a wav file of the borg hail "We are the borg. You will be assimilated..." I didn't want to quate it verbatim so I called it "We are borg, hear us roar."

He wrote back stating that, to his knowledge, he's never heard the borg say that in any episode or movie.

The main issue with ADHD is that concentration problems that disrupt scholastic success can be treated quite well.

Not just scholastic success, but life as well. Once ADD, always ADD. I matured out of the hyperactivity, but deal with the symptoms daily.

Having said that, untreated or undertreated ADHD (like only using coping strategies when they are insufficient) can also have very bad long term effects and strongly increases the risk of never gaining a qualification, chronic depression, suicide, etc.

There were no handy acronyms for what my learning difficulties were when I was in school. I was diagnosed after I had graduated. That said, I've never been medicated...I learned to cope. I also have two undergraduate degrees (BA honours, Bed) and a specialist in special education.

I've tried it all.

The stimulants just make my jittery and make me chew on the inside of my cheek until I bleed. They found that Strattera works pretty well for me.
