Anyone else feels that Discovery needs an another big bad guy faction?

Stories need conflict, but they do not need to have "bad guys." Look at the Trek corpus as an example. Sometimes the antagonist was a species (the Borg or the Dominion). Sometimes the antagonist was a particular villain (Q, Dukat, or Khan). Sometimes it was a force of nature (the many anomalies/negative space wedgies). In some of the most interesting episodes, the conflict doesn't come from an antagonist directly, but is internal to the characters themselves.
That is not how Discovery decided to roll so far.

IIRC, wasn't their ship a reuse of the Breen ship CG mesh?

It may have been! The creators went out of their way to not mention who the species was but from virtually the moment the episode aired there were theories that it may have been humanity's first unofficial contact with the Breen. It would have been cool if it were as it would add the element of harvesting humanoid lymphatic fluids and other bodily secretions to the list of things the engimatic and cold-climate Breen did.
