I had started playing then got an error and couldn't log in. I had to start all over. I'm hoping to conqure my other two cities when I'm strong enough.

I don't think that'll work well, since new players are distributed randomly over the world, and an alliance doesn't make much sense without geographic proximity in these games.

when you start you can choose which region you want to be in, if everyone chooses the same region the distances wont be that bad.

My account suddenly seems to be gone, anyone else have that problem? Apparently the game wants me to restart for some reason.

eta: and the worst thing is, that I just put my tax rate at 100%, so if this doesn't get resolved soon, my city will be completely depopulated and I won't even get ressources...

But the game is too slow and uneventful for me.

Actually I think the slowness makes it a great game for multitaskers.

I don't think I've ever multitasked with a computer game in my life! I've always considered computer games to be attention demanding things, where time is of the essence. I do prefer having pressure of time in a game, it makes it seem more important and play-worthy somehow.

Nevermind, the problem was resolved quickly (but I wasn't the only one, others complained about it in the forums too).

yeh but it's probably because they're upgrading civony (the beta) to evony (the real game) today.
