If you want seriously dramatic examples on Lucy's later work, then I would add "Spartacus: Blood and Sand", its prequel "Gods of the Arena" and the season 2 "Spartacus: Vengeance" to JD's list.

Bit@ch of Rome finished its month long tribute a week ago, but their creative juices haven't dried up considering they put out 4 more vids in the first 5 days of October. (Faster than their previous rate by far. :) )

I loved the "Unconditional" video! I haven't seen Spartacus yet. It's one of those shows I've been meaning to watch but just haven't got around to it.

I thought I was prepared for Spartacus, :alienblush: but its more than just nudity.

The violence is ever so much more "in your face" than on XWP. Where they may have used "CUPS of blood" in Xena, they use GALLONS of it in Spartacus.

Yes, there were several decapitations and dismemberments in Xena over 6 seasons, but there are several every episode (barely an exaggeration) in Spartacus. As the Spartacus writers/producers used to brag, they kept challenging themselves to up the ante on gruesome ways to die on that show.

Here's a much less edited video version of "Ask me another" appearance I posted above.

The reason why I'm adding it is the simple fact that after saying once again how she COULDN'T POSSIBLY be Xena again, since the physicality of the role demands a younger woman's stamina/drive... Bruce effectively SHAMED Lucy into agreeing to be Xena again :bolian: since he's even older and didn't let the physicality of Ash stop him. ;) (Or stop his stunt double)

Its amazing how the show was edited... the sentiment is the same but the stories dropped were priceless! :guffaw:
