Any word yet about TOS Remastered on Blu-Ray?

I hate the notion that TOS-R is on a soon dead format, I also hate this because it gives the people at Paramount yet another chance to sell it to us yet again

In eight years Paramount may be trying to sell TOS-R2 (with the mistakes of R1 corrected), on whatever format is available at that time, in a 50th Anniversery set.

TOS was never meant to be seen this way. Extremely high resolution will ruin the viewing experience of the live-action scenes because all the little production sins that were once hidden will then be obvious. The viewer's imagination engaged in "filling in the blanks" will be defeated by far too much detailing of production flaws.

I dont know about that, sure you'll be able to see the actors makeup and stuff more easily but imagine all the sorts of things in the background we've never seen before.
