Allow me to explain.
If you have a ship with a name and registry that is completely created by you, you won't be able to find pictures of it.
What I do, is I use a blemish tool to blend/blur the registry and name into the hull.
Here's an example that I did for my sim, the USS Blackwater
Anybody else use this method, or are you not OCD enough to care? Obviously then the ship has no registry, but in my opinion, that is still less hair-pulling, kicking and screaming better than having the wrong registry.
