Any old timers still around?

LOL sorry, couldn't resist.

I totally love the lounges. It's a pity one gerts so quickly through the lower ones. I made a lot of (RL-)friends during my first round in the Flaptains' Lounge and now in my second round in the Red Shirts', Commanders' and Captains' Lounges.
It's a pity there aren't many active Commodores atm. The lounge is a bit slow atm.

me neither :) Can't recall any trek discussions in the lounges when I was there. There was quite a lot of spam and games, though. As Lounge posts didn't add to one's postcount back then, nobody cared.

Indeed. One of the few warnings I've ever received in my TBBS history, was for spamming in the lounge.

I remember so little about the earlier lounges but they were fun. I've been in the Admirals' Lounge for most of the time I've been on the board so any memories of the others are fuzzy at best.

shall we ask Bonzie for permission to re-cycle through the ranks? Admirals could be very helpful for the newbies. There are a few really nice redshirts - it'd be a win-win situation

I have very few -if any at all- memories of the noob-lounges, but during my time in the Flaptains and the Commies we had so much fun that I still remember it as being the best of times...

When I was there, someone actually did pass through on their second tour... That was a brilliant experience for us n00bs :bolian:

And, just btw, you don't have to ask permission, all you have to do is delete your current account and register anew :)

Technically, I've been here since 2004, but I kind of hesitate to call myself an old timer. I don't talk or post an awful lot. I remember joining to discuss the Xindi arc during Enterprise's third season, and my junior year of high school. It's been a long time indeed.

The Admirals' Lounge certainly isn't all that active. I can remember when the Lounge had multiple pages' worth of active or semiactive threads and brand new threads being posted on a regular basis.

^Well, the Admiral's Lounge is merely there to make the lower ranks try hard to get there... Put in other words: the cake is a lie.

The lounge porch always has cigarette butts and candy wrappers. Sweep that thing first!

*makes mental note to bring beef & onion pie and special apple pie with walnuts when turning Admiral in about 2000 years*

Well, 9 years do qualify as oldtimer, whether you like it or not. It's cool that you un-lurked to post here, though =)

Really? One can delete one's account nowadays? Geez, times have really changed! Way back then, I got banned by Lisa for insisting my account to not get locked but completely deleted (only Admins could delete accounts then)
