Any McCoy Rumors Out There?

How about Nathan Fillion as McCoy? There were some rumors going around, but nothing substantial. But that might work.

Although I'm not a massive supporter of where this Lil' Trek project seems to be heading, I admit being genuinely saddened that Gary Sinse was never in the running for McCoy. Obviously the age range of those so far precludes his involvement... unless it's a blink and you'll miss it cameo at the end.

Didn't I start that rumor? Anyway, I'd love it. He looks nothing like DeForest Kelley but I think he would really nail the attitude.

But I wouldn't be disappointed if it turned out to be Karl Urban.

Although I like Fillion and I previously posted that I'd rather see him as McCoy than Kirk (in response to someone's suggestion that he'd make a good Kirk), I actually think that his FF crewmate Alan Tudyk would make a better McCoy than he would.

I don't really care for the idea of filling the USS Enterprise with actors from other sci-fi shows, though.

I agree - Fillion is the leading man type. But I loved Tudyk in Firefly and I'd like to see him in Trek.

What about Joe Pesci for McCoy? I can just imagine him telling Kirk to go **** himself after being asked to use the transporter!
