News Ant-Man and the Wasp

Looks even more fun than the first one!

...but, um, what was with the giant ant playing the drums? :wtf:

New poster and our first glimpse of Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet as well as another glimpse of Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost unmasked:

Hopefully. Even for a film as somewhat comedic as the Ant-Man films, something like that would feel out of place. It would be fine in Guardians of the Galaxy but less so here.

Seeing as how Ultimate Marvel was an influence in the development of the MCU, I'm quite glad that the current movie licensing situation means that there is no chance that Blob and Wasp will ever appear in the same movie.

I get the feeling that this version of the Wasp could take down the Blob with little trouble.

That was a great trailer. They seem to be having even more fun with the making things bigger and smaller this time.
I think we might have gotten our first very quick look at Janet Van Dyne's Wasp. There is one quick shot in one of the montages where it looks we see a woman in a red Ant-Man style suit fighting someone.

If only Lang's costume would make the comic transition from red/black to blue in the style of Goliath. No large, yellow "V" stripes, but something in blue.

So I only noticed this the other day from looking at IMDB, but do other people in the UK know whereas this is released in America on July 6th, it's not out here till 4 weeks later on August 3rd.

And why? Because of the World Cup (Jesus Christ ... )

Apparently because they think people can't watch football and go to the movies in the same weeks. Even though the tournament starts in mid June, and frankly England will probably be out of it by July 6th anyway. And the whole thing ends on July 15th with the final, but hey we still have to wait 3 weeks after that. :techman: Thanks Marvel!!

Given pretty much every MCU film has been released in the UK before the States, it's only fair this should happen.

Yeah but that's usually only a week max, not 4. And given how easily spoilers appear nowadays, there's not way I'm gonna get through those 4 weeks without accidentally seeing something online about the movie, esp say the post credits scene or whatever. An awful lot of people are just gonna illegally download or stream the movie too

I'm sure they will and MarvelUK took all of it into account. Deciding on a release date isn't just throwing darts at a calendar and seeing where it ends up.

As for knowing spoilers, there are studies out there (and I'm sure pointing to the contrary) that knowing spoilers helps to enjoy the media more, which I agree with.

I do find it amusing that this and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom seem to be the inverse of each other as that is out here next Wednesday, but not Stateside until Friday 22nd.

Released July 4th over here. So USA will celebrate independence, but I will be watching Ant-Man :D
