The film grossed just $8.2 million on its second Friday — a colossal 82% drop from its $46.4 million opening day.
I'm not surprised. Some people will be. Marvel was asking for a kick in the balls and they got it. They can't keep pumping out these kinds of movies and expect audiences to accept it.
Feige needed Michael Peña as Luis in this movie in order to consider it a potential summer blockbuster?Seriously? I didn't even miss him, let alone Dave or Kurt. This just doesn't make any sense to me.
It is interesting that Ant Man 3 is considered a failure despite still being #5 for In-Year releases (US DOmestic) at $214,504,909
Many fans love him...and even if it was some kind of YouTube teaser or summary of the first 2 movies, it would have easily boosted the movie buzz.
They also could have easily had a Luis scene at the beginning, then he leaves the room to get a snack, and is there to help them get back to the "normal" universe.
Most definitely...or at least the "Foreward".They should have had Luis be the one narrating the Ant-Man Audiobook.
There's failure and then there's Marvel failure. It's made less than any of the Marvel movies released last year. Yes, this year is not looking good for anyone not named Tom Cruise but Thor finished in 8th last year with $343,256,830. Antman was sold as the movie to kick off phase 5, to blow the lid off the multiverse saga, to introduce the big bad Kang. A lot was riding on it. Disney expected better. It is interesting that Ant Man 3 is considered a failure despite still being #5 for In-Year releases (US DOmestic) at $214,504,909
