another new season 2 trailer and poster

What I love here is that it's apparently a known quantity unknown to our heroes...

Starfleet is on top of the situation, sort of, but this time it's somebody else in Starfleet, with our heroes playing the part of the expendable incompetent goons that ST3:TSfS introduced as a contrast to make the heroes more heroic. So our heroes need to get up to speed. And they will; is that Mary (or Michael) Sue writing, then?

Are you implying that irrational conclusion jumping based on little evidence and a whole lot of assumption and conjecture isn't new for the TBBS?

"TrekBBS - irrational conclusion jumping based on little evidence and a whole lot of assumption and conjecture since 1999"

so uh:

i get that this is a pretty stametsy face, but they couldn't make him look heroic on the poster like everyone else?

Yeah, that's more like an acute hemorrhoids face :alienblush:

I know that but I'm not really a Burnham fan.....

If anything season 2 should be the Pike season
To be honest I am not a fan of Burnham either, but since it was announced from the start that she would be the central character the poster doesn't surprise me at all. If I have a favorite it would be Tilly or Saru.

The only weird thing about Spock's beard is that it's undefined in the cheek area, but very well defined on the neck. I mean, if it's really a "lazy man beard" Spock grew because he was stranded somewhere he shouldn't have a shaved neck - he should be rocking an ugly beard like Ash was last season.

Unless Vulcans just don't grow facial hair below a perfectly sculpted jawline. Let's just pretend that is the answer here. Something new to add to canon!

Way overlooked comment around here! :guffaw:

I might still be pumped from the trailer, but I feel like this is my most anticipated season 2 for any series to date, dethroning Attack on Titan S2 (which took like... 4 freaking years to air!). It's this combination of hype because I wanted something else from DSC s1 but still really liked it...now it feels like I'm getting what I wanted AND it's still DSC, AND its Star Trek. I'm more excited for this than I was for S1, and that was the first series in so many years!
Same here, from what we've seen so far they seem to have fixed most of the issues I had with Season 1.
