Another guy kissed my girlfriend.

Well, looks like I spoke too soon earlier when I said it looked like the guy had stopped. He came in today while she was working on his day off get something.

She was bending over to pick something up, and he makes a comment to her about how he wants to smack/grab her ass.

Needless to say, she'll be reporting this and everything else to the manager. I had a talk to her after she told me, reassuring her that she isn't the one causing the problem here, he is, and any weirdness that happens because of it is his fault. If by tomorrow she still doesn't report this, I'll have to get a little more firm with her, but for now I'm trying to be as supportive and helpful as possible. He's now done something inappropriate on actual company property and is making her really uncomfortable, and it needs to be reported to her manager. I let her know that it's not my place to say anything preemptively in case she did ask me to say something. She works with her manager tomorrow, so I'll know more after then.

Well this certainly taken a turn I did not expect. In any case I support Flux. As for those of you who argue over some details of how he got into his current relationship, feelings aren't logical. I think he did the best he could.

EDIT: Good that she'll be reporting it, I hope this gets resolved now.

Yeah, that's textbook sexual harassment, she'd damn well better report it! :techman:

Flux, as I've said before, I think you're doing a good job, despite some comments made here. Definitely have her report this to the manager. Keep her feeling empowered. And, hopefully this is a good lesson to both of you about nipping things in the bud rather than letting them grow. I realize that is sometimes easier said than do, so I don't mean to sound overly critical, just something to keep in mind for the future.

Mr Awe

Clearly not sexual harassment. Obviously he thought her Donkey needed disciplining or catching.

Good, hope it gets reported. See, you waited and didn't overreact, he fucked up and could very well lose his job over it.

Sometimes these things have a way of working themselves out. :)

If however he doesn't get fired and keeps perving on your lady, then it's ass kicking time.

I'd suggest discussing with her (gently of course) that this is unfortunately sort of par for the course when you don't clearly shut down someone making advances on you.

Because of the whole "confidence and assertiveness" thing (which is totally true in getting women), a lot of guys interpret anything less than "get away from me and don't talk to me anymore" as a license to keep pushing and being persistent and assertive and eventually she'll break down and get turned by the fact he won't give up - and to be fair, that does happen with some women, so it's not like some wild fantasy either. That's why so many in this thread myself included were convinced she was sort of enjoying the flirting and not putting the shut-down on him. Looks more like just naivete on her part though.
