Isn't this where Berman Trek went wrong, too many TV shows on too close to each other? But the Lucas rumor is 3-4 shows at the same time? Now we will see how much Star Wars is too much.
My understanding is it will be an ensemble sprawling cast of Rebels, Imperials, and bounty hunters. I too would be extremely pissed if there wasn't a single Jedi Survivor working with the Rebels (Aayla Secura!). I also read they would have brief cameos of people like Vader and Palps and Organa. I think Lil' Leia is supposed to be a character because an author proposed writing a Lil' Leia book and was shot down because it was TV territory. I also remember reading they said it would start as one show then branch off into four different series (one show for each faction?).
That was what i had heard as well, with the various storylines eventually splitting off into their own shows. I recall reading on TheForce.net somewhere that the eventual plan is to have 3 or 4 live action series on at the same time.
I would rather watch a show about young Han. Now THAT has potential. Something like a teenage Han and kid Luke and Leia all having sort of their own separate journeys, American Graffiti-style (separate character threads).
I would LOVE a show following teen Han and kiddie Luke & Leia. That would rock.

That will never happen. Not even Star Wars can bring down numbers sufficient to make ad revenue for that many shows at once. I'm not even sure they can make the numbers to support ONE show.
Luke was supposed to have a boring life prior to ANH so I don't think there's much you could do there. Leia on the other hand you could probably make a Smallville-like prequel series too. Her rise in the Senate and the Rebellion, dealing with Vader, Tarkin, etc. It'll never, ever happen but if you wanted to do a prequel to the original trilogy, Leia is the most logical choice.
My hope for the live action series (again, something I doubt that will happen) is I would love to see them get Ewan McGreggor back to do a one episode guest shot. Just a character study of Obi-Wan in exhile on Tatooine. McGreggor is a good enough actor to make that interesting and compelling.

I would enjoy that honestly.
Wookiepedia links to an interview with him where he says he's willing to appear at Obi-Wan if asked. It also suggests Hayden Christiansen and Samuel L. Jackson have both told Lucas they'd love to appear in it.My hope for the live action series (again, something I doubt that will happen) is I would love to see them get Ewan McGreggor back to do a one episode guest shot. Hummm... Lets see... If I were making a SW show what could I do to make sure it was boring and no one would ever watch...? AH! I got it! NO Jedi! No Vader! No Palps! Just Smallville without the powers but all the angst! What a suckfest! It's like he went out of his way to make his own universe as boring a dish water. MEH!![]()
I like that idea of emulating the '70s sci-fi aesthetic from ANH. That'd be awesome. Less CG, more practical sets/aliens/etc.

Nice idea, but this is Star Wars and George Lucas we're talking about. No matter what they do, CGI will be the star, not the characters.
