Another Food Poll! BACON!

OMG, I love bacon! It has to be crispy almost to the point of being burnt though.

Sometimes for breakfast on the weekends, I'll make breakfast like my mom always did (she still does quite often) cook the bacon, fry eggs in the bacon grease and then put both of those on toast with mayo and a slice of the soft Velveeta cheese. Yummo!!

.....we're from the South so bacon is like a food group.

I have to exercise like a mofo because I will not give up my good ol' southern food!!

I thought down south Bacon WAS its own group and FRIED was the elusive fifth state of matter. (Solid, liquid, gas, plasma, southern-fried)

I can't believe someone fucking beat me to the bacon explosion.

We made one for the Superbowl/Meat Week Grand Finale last Sunday. I'm here to report that it was delicious. Here is my buddy making the Explosions:

I LOVE bacon. Either in a burger with cheese, or on a breakfast plate combined with hash browns, sausages, fried and scrambled eggs and toast.

I dog the bacon in moderation, preferably crispy when we're talking slices of the slab kind. However, I just don't get the interweb's love of all things bacon. Bacon clocks? Bacon shirt? Bacon wristwatches? Please, bacon STFU and get back onto the plate where you belong.

When I was in the hospital for my transplant I was on a restricted diet, no fresh fruit or vegetables and no pepper (thank God I was allowed to bring Tabasco with me).

It sucked, but the one thing I did get was a special menu that I could order stuff off of 24/7 and one of the things on it was bacon. I could get as much bacon as I wanted any time I felt like eating it. That was about the only good thing about eating hospital food for three weeks.

I got spoiled living down the street from a smokehouse for 3 years . The made this awesome thick cut bacon that had just a few streaks of fat in it. I loved that stuff soft and chewy. Hell, if I was making a batch of it I'd eat half before it even fully cooked.

I just can't get on board with supermarket bacon anymore. Yuck.
