Hate to say it, but recasting Sisko and no one else is almost asking for trouble. Some people seem to look for racism in everything.

Sisko was missing when we last left DS9. It wouldn't be much of a stretch to keep him missing if Brooks wouldn't do it.

If the new Trek movie takes off, I would think the entire cast would be 're-casted'...if they were to ever return to the DS9 era...(Actually, that is where my earlier post came from).

I would think they would go with a younger actor:
