Anomaly in "The Way to Eden"

The director of Eden seemed to bumble his way through some scenes. I remember Walter Koenig complained about the segment with Irina in the lounge because his left ear dominated his over-the-shoulder shots.

Chekov definitely needs a neck shave, that's for sure...

If Spock were in that scene, we'd see the joins between the latex/plastic/bee wax ear prosthetic and the real flesh. That is something of smacking great closeup in the final front-ear...

I'd have to see the entire scene again in full context, but ear's the question: What might have been a better looking angle? (Apart from the obvious ones, but I tend to be clueless about those... If they did it from the opposite point of view, we wouldn't see Irina's face... and her ears are completely covered by hair, long beautiful hair... they did spend a ton of time and money on her hairdo*. It's very 1960s** but still has a bit of a style and polish to it.)

** and thus better than most styles today, I just did an image search and 97% of the pictures made that skunk I saw splattered on the freeway look more alluring...

Are you sure she's not wearing a wig?

This is life, of course I'm sure that I'm not sure. :D

Could very well be extensions, if all that were her own hair, the hairdresser would be in a coma after applying the requisite six bottles of branded spray product that stinks to high heaven to keep it in place... yeah, wigs are safer, cheaper in the long term, healthier, but don't stand near or under a fan...

Kirk's wraparound was worn a lot in the second season and got noticeably shorter over time, to the point where his midrift was almost showing!

They relied on tvs of the day not revealing the black t-shirts under the unis.

Did everybody get new velours for S2? And I never noticed the wraps shrinking. Hm.

In production order, here is the wraparound in its first appearance of S2 and then again 7 episodes later.

The sleeves have definitely risen in TTWT and it is noticeably more snug
