A romanized Japanese word which means "sister". I don't know how to do it with my keyboard either I just copied it from someplace and pasted it.What is an One-(I don't know how the do the line above the e)-chan?
I thought that Sama meant that they held them in great respect, and that it was usually One-san for older sisters.A romanized Japanese word which means "sister". The symbol over the e is an accent symbol that tells you to pronounce the e as ay. Onē-chan = little Sister (Hence the little girl in the picture)
A big sister would be an Onē-sama
-chan and -sama are a part of the Japanese language called honorifics used to denote familiar relations for siblings or close friends. This is where it gets confusing though because they can also be used as signs of respect in which case their meaning can be different. IE a younger sister calling her older brother Oni-chan just means they are close and she wanted to use the less respectful honorific as a term of endearment.
No but I did get the idea from this popular image, which has been making the rounds for years, and does do that.Oh, ok. I thought maybe they were like a race from an anime series or something.
The e in japanese is always pronounced similar to ay, the symbol signifies a long vowel, it's not an accent and doesn't change the pronunciation except for making the sound twice as long.A romanized Japanese word which means "sister". Combines the perceived loyalty of a pet with the sexual appeal of a woman. What IS it with cat girls, anyway?
Catgirls and maids. I still haven't figured those out yet...
What IS it with cat girls, anyway?
What IS it with cat girls, anyway?
If Captain Jack tried to put the moves on an insect girl, why not?
And that was a cute insect girl, by the way.
from what I've heard, Captain Jack would put the moves on pretty much anything!
