animated image formats

^Indeed, it is a work in progress, but might just be the next big thing; it's (soon) got animation and it's got better compression than .gif plus it has the transparent-colour (although pre-IE7 it didn't show as transparent in MS-browsers.)

Waste of time. Mozilla used to have animated png support. The firefox developers took it out (because they thought the 200 Kb of code it required was a waste of disk space :rolleyes:)
 
I don't make them often but I am almost positive they can be made in Photoshop. Hell, I made my avatar in Photoshop Elements 3.
