She was so good The Manchurian Candidate, I think I need to rewatch it this weekend.
I always found it weird that she played Elvis' mother in Blue Hawaii in 1960 or 61. She was only about 10 years older than Elvis at the time.

That happens more often than you think...like on Blue Bloods, Len Cariou plays Tom Selleck's father yet they are only about 5 years apart in age.

And Angela was only a few years older than Laurence Harvey when they did The Manchurian Candidate.

At least Len and Angela were older. Remember, IRL the youngest member of the Golden Girls cast was Sofia.

And that's not even unique. Back in the olden days the youngest member of the cast in Carol Burnett's "Family" skits was the actress playing "Mama."
