Verdammt! THAT IS BEAUTIFUL!!

Although I am a bit surprised that Andy did not let us know that the design was finished by March.

Very freakin' nice! This should have been the TNG hero ship. Or at least the E-C from "Yesterday's Enterprise." I never did like the Ambassador-class as seen onscreen. Too damned clunky looking.

OMG, that Planck-Class is freaking ugly... jeez, why do they need to let all these butt-fugly, over-greebled, fanwank designs into the calendars every year? That one image pretty much soils an otherwise decent calendar.

Bumping up the thread-
I visited the site Amazon.com for the Ships of the Line 2012 calendar. The Ambassador-class starship is featured prominently in this calendar. There are three illustrations where this class is shown, with a special insert comparing this ship to another class. This special insert features Probert's Ambassador.

Nice. I love that the 3D boards have kind of become the testbed for SotL. I get a warm fuzzy when I see the names on the calendar every month.

Looks nice...

One comment, though... Did they re-use an image from an earlier calendar in this one? I'd swear I'd seen that "Tomorrow is Yesterday" image previously... if it's new, it's almost indistinguishable from a prior image, anyway...

The "original" was one of Mojo's from waaaay back. As I recall, he used an actual stock pic of the F-104 fighter composited with the CG Enterprise.

A little surpirsed they selected that, there's plenty of other scenes that could be re-created...
