Andromeda

I really enjoyed that show before the pencil pushers forced the plot to be accelerated.

If only they had stayed in the post-Commonwealth darkage the whole series.

The ending was terrible, but by then I had stopped caring.

Never watched it, but going by what Xerxes1979 says about the ending isn't making me want to watch it for an unsatisfying end--had that with ENT and don't fancy it again.

True, I remember the thread and it was ok for first couple of seasons after that it became unwatchable.

There are a handful of good episodes from the 1st season. I will admit I gave up in Season 3. It might be worth a watch all the way through sometime.

It was enjoyable up until the point where the show's creator got fired. After that, the quality of the show went downhill (I still managed somehow to stick with it and watched it all the way to the end).

The last season is absolutely horrible. It all takes place in one solar system, and the episodes are so boring that you wonder how you are going to stay awake.

A horrible vanity project masquerading as a sci-fi show.

How it got the Gene Roddenberry tag I'll never know, maybe Sorbo embodied the characteristics Gene lived his life by (machoism, sexism, egotism and self centered-ness ) rather than the ideals he wished to promote.

I wonder how the show went in the timeline where it wasn't tampered with.
There was a link a few pages (or maybe more than a few) back, in the big Andromeda thread, that outlined where He intended to go with it.

The first season and a half were really good. Then they canned Robert Hewitt Wolfe and it became "Hercules in Space". It had a rich history and story arcs that were to be explored and all that got blown away when Sorbo got control of the show. The last season was just horrible.
