Andromeda.... Wow!

I like some of the ideas used in Andromeda, like ships having avatars and the design of the ships and some of the 'mythology'. Lexa Doig is awesome as Rommie - I'd watch the show just for her, one of my favorite Sci Fi characters. And she's Lexa Doig...nothing I can say about her hasn't been said in this thread already.
But Kevin Sorbo sucks. The rest of the acting sucks too. Interesting idea, poor execution. Really poor, so poor as to be unforgivable in my opinion. I'll watch the show if there are reruns on, it's a fun diversion but I'm not interested in watching it beginning to end.

I thought the actors portraying Tyr, Beka, Bem, Andromeda, and Harper were fine, based on the material they had to work with. Sorbo didn't do much for me, though I guess the square jaw accounted for something. Trance was given so little to do that I can't blame the actress for that. I also liked the dude playing Rhade, the first Rhade (Gaheris?), not the second take (Telemachus?).
To me, Andromeda is exactly like Voyager: A terrific premise---no, an excellent premise---totally wasted by failing to actually utilize that fricking premise. 
Since when? Just because they have a similar last name (Jewel Staite/Brent Stait) they are automatically related?
