Androids

Wow! It took me a second to realize that wasn't human.:wtf: Impressive, looks like the Japanese have been surpassed.

There pretty cool but nothing really impressive. They don't even seem much better then the animatronics probably most of us are used to seeing in places like Disney.

Terminators will come and they will wear " I <heart> Hello Kitty" T-shirts

Yeah, "she'll be back". :borg:

Cybernetics has been disappointingly slow to develop. Basically, these androids combine speech recognition + voice synthesis, and track movement with their video camera eyes, and make freaky delayed facial gestures with jerky servo motors.

I'm not even sure their speech recognition interprets language. It's all very so-so. It's been so-so for the last decade.

The one you've shown us isn't that good to be honest but when I looked at all the other videos there were some a heck of a lot better.
Arg! A fembot! Watch out for the machine gun jubblies! Jokes aside, I think it's amazing to see how far artificial lifeform research has progressed. I am very impressed with the Einstein android's facial movement and bi-pedal movement (I'm guessing they just attached Einstein's head onto a Honda Asimo), but neat nonetheless.
