Andorians

How hard would it to have Andorians in the background (or Klingons for that matter) that look like every version of them we've seen? Yay diversity (insert shooting star gif here)
They're doing it with Romulans

^ a bit. They’ve got the TOS flat foreheads a slight ridge new from this series, and I guess that’s progress. But I’d like to see a Vreenak ridge or two as well. I don’t like how upswept the eyebrows are on some of them, though. Some of them look like they’re at 60 degree angles when ideally they’re at no more than 20-30 degrees or so.

That would be good too. But that green one being a complete one off has always bugged.

Well, Shran's daughter in ENT was half-Aenar and she had a greenish cast, too.

Thelin in "Yesteryear" (TAS) was more grey/caucasian.

In DSC, we saw Andorians with moving forehead-style antennae and tendrils on their brows (above), but also some background Andorians with their non-moving antennae closer to the crown and more normal brows (below).

This.

Why waste money on what is merely a background actor giving them the little things that make their costume expensive when nobody will see it.

Like these? (All three appear but you have to look carefully!)

Re Romulans in "Picard":

We've been promised Romulans that evoke TOS Romulans, TNG Romulans, Nero-style Romulans (such as the one giving instructions on the Borg vessel) and more Elvish-type Romulans.

Also, the Romulan haircuts make more sense when they're thin shiny wigs like in "Face of the Enemy." Above they just seem sloppy and esthetically unpleasing. Yes this is a nitpick. You clicked onto this BB; I take no responsibility.

One would imagine that since the Romulans in the picture above are Refugees ...

Getting to a Salon to have their hair 'Style-Cut', is most likely way below obtaining food/water and a place to live, on their list of important things to do.

"Sloppy and aesthetically unpleasing", are the couture of the decade.

well, I have no problem with blue paint and a wig for background characteres.. if there Waaaaay in the background where there like 5-6 pixels tall.. but the ones in Picard were near front and center.. spend the few bucks to give them better makeup.. not something a Con girl would wear..

And can we talk about how there’s no greenish tinge on 99.8% of them? They’re straight up elves in this series. Complete with long hair, robes, and swords. Maybe Elvish too.

I am enjoying the diversity of accents though. Now if they can just get some subtle alien ones in there without sounding Star Wars or racist lol
