Lots of new footage, including glimpses of Vel (finally!).
Because the movie is better than Rebels and it is actually the first thing in the entire franchise, the ne plus ultra of all Star Wars, the origin point, the foundation, the thing that from which everything else was birthed. Not just the 15th random, kid-targeted spinoff.
Do you seriously not understand the distinction?
100% this. There are people who I speak to who only know things that they discovered through Netflix. A guy I spoke to recently told me how amazing he thought Blade Runner 2049 was and was surprised when I told him that there is another Blade Runner movie. For some people Rogue One was their first Star Wars movie.Do you understand that there could be an audience that only KNOWS the franchise due to the prequels and the cartoons?
I know it's hard to accept for us old folk/nerds, but I had to explain to a Ph.D student a few years ago that Star Trek existed before the 2009 NuTrek films...

Almost like different people have different experiences...100% this. There are people who I speak to who only know things that they discovered through Netflix. My point had nothing to do with audiences. My point was that the creative forces behind "Andor", the most sophisticated, complex and adult of all SW content to date, shouldn't be beholden to and taking its narrative cues from a kid-targeted cartoon that came out years ago and is largely forgotten except by the SW faithful.Do you understand that there could be an audience that only KNOWS the franchise due to the prequels and the cartoons?

"Largely forgotten except by the Star Wars faithful"? You mean the series that Ahsoka is continuing off of? The series whose finale is being screened at Star Wars Tokyo this year?My point had nothing to do with audiences.
