And they say romance is dead...

I suspect the process could be simplified considerably by merely checking whether or not the potential partner in question also owns an iPhone.

Even Vulcans don't use computers to do their courting for them. :(

I mean, I have nothing to hide, but if my potential mate/date wants to know about me, she should ASK. *Talk* to me. If she thinks she needs to use her iPhone to screen me, then obviously she does not trust me - that's way too calculating and cold for my liking.

That was actually the plot of a skit in the movie Amazon Women on the Moon. It had Steve Guttenberg and Rosanna Arquette. You could run a check on a guy to find out if he is selfish in bed or lied about liking Meryl Streep movies to impress a girl.

Normally I would think this a bit creepy, but lately I've been watching too many Law and Order: SVU episodes. The look of horror on the woman's face as the detectives tell her "But Jane, the man you call your boyfriend raped and murdered 37 women a decade ago" freaks me out!

Yes, you really have been watching too much Law and Order.

My friend Elaine also watches too many of these shows. She has a very distorted view on how the System actually works, and it amps up her already severe paranoia about people.

I watch Fringe and yet I don't think that whenever I leave the house I'm being watched by the Observer. Can't we tell what's realistic and what is not? The Wire = semi-realistic, Law and Order = not realistic.

That's the first thing I thought of when I read the OP. :rommie:

This coulda been useful with some of the asshole's I've dated. But I'm asshole free now...:techman: well except for my own of course. ;)

 Phew! Glad you cleared that up. :D
