It's the spice mix that is used for pumpkin pie, a North American dessert. It generally contains spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger in varying proportions. In the US a pre-made mixture of these spices started being sold as "pumpkin pie spice" in the 1930s by the McCormick spice company. I understand British desserts use a similar mixture of spices. If Starbucks in your country has the "Gingerbread Latte," I think it's somewhat similar to the pumpkin spice latte, though not quite as sweet, and less "spicy," and the spice they sprinkle on top is only nutmeg instead of the mixture.I had never heard of Pumpkin Spice but it sounds tasty.
