AGT is a masterpiece.
Season 7 really ran along on TNG's fumes, but it provided a perfect capstone to the entire series with AGT.
Totally agree. AGT is perfect in every way, IMHO.
What is also crazy is Star Trek Generations is ALSO coming up on its 20th anniversary! Next year, same for Voyager's Debut!
It's a shame the TNG films didn't end with a warm, light-hearted, fun sci-fi adventure story centered around Q.
Ditch INS, re-do NEM, and put a Q film as the fourth an final film installment.
That would have really brought the TNG narrative full circle and provided the thematic and practical links from Farpoint to AGT to the last film.
Oh well, we'll always have AGT --- "Sky's the Limit." and "I'll be seeing you...out there." Great stuff.
I think not having Q in the feature films is a GLARING oversight. Would have been nice to see Q at least make a cameo. Generations, and FC, okay, stories decent enough with Q. However, I think it would have been cool to see at an epilogue scene after the credits, a return shot to Kirk's grave, all alone, and then see the famous Q flash, then the rocks fall in on themselves, as the body is no longer there, leaving open the possibility that maybe Q took Kirk's body, maybe even resurrecting Kirk. That would have appeased both Q fans and Kirk fans, IMHO.
Insurrection, was just a generic TNG episode on the big screen, and Nemesis, while got a lot right, was a flawed film. I would have liked seeing one more TNG film, with Q in it.
