You can't even really be guaranteed do that anymore, if it ends up being pulled from the service. Weird times we live in.
Bought X-Files on blu ray from Amazon.de because it’s out of print in the US. You can’t count on physical media either. If you like it, buy it while it’s available.
Yeah, good idea, if these shows even come out with physical copies. Most of them don't have the popularity or support for a release and will most likely end up being forgotten.
Yep. Then the hunt for bootlegs begins. I have a lot of bootleg only shows. Better today than VHS exchanges in the past.
I’m still trying to track down the Canadian versions of Forever Knight because the US version is edited. And there are a lot of other shows that I’m looking for.
I did recently find season two of the Invisible Man.
No idea why this stuff isn’t print on demand.
I actually have FOREVER KNIGHT on dvd. All 3 seasons. I didn't know they were edited, though.
I have season 1 of THE INVISIBLE MAN (2000), but they never seemed to release season 2. Is it a real release or one if those downloaded and made to look like an official dvd set?
There isn't an official DVD release of Invisible Man season 2. It did stream for a short time on HULU. There are also two different version of one of the season 1 episodes. What version you get depends what region your discs are in because that makes sense.
The FK DVDs are the American release that are edited. I own them too. What's streaming on Prime is also the edited American release. The Canadian versions are unedited and sometimes longer. I watched VHS bootlegs back in the 90s. I haven't found any 480p or better bootlegs of this show.
The other issue is music rights. Usually to get around this problem, I import from Germany. Some shows are really bad with music replace such as 21 Jump Street. And I'm finding more German content than American these days. More physical content that's region free is coming out there. You can get a 4K version of the Frighteners from Germany, but a 4K release isn't available in the US.

Paramount+ has cancelled the iCarly revival after three years. The now series finale also evidently ended on a cliffhanger.
That's why I'm thankful that Shout! Factory was able to get the music rights to about 90+% of the music to WKRP in Cincinnati, without that, I don't think I would have purchased it when it was released. Yes, there are a few songs missing (Damn you Eagles), but what's there more than makes up for it. Now I can hear Ivan say 'Hold me closer Tiny Dancer' or, 'Hot Blooded' by Foreigner, and not have it be dubbed.

With regard to Magnum P.I., the showrunner says that while some threads are left open for what would have been a season six, but they knew better than to end on an outright cliffhanger with what will now be the series finale.
The previously cancelled Disney+ Spiderwick Chronicles series has been has picked up by Roku.

Jon Stewart and his team was up and ready to do episodes of The Problem With Jon Stewart about AI and China, so of course Apple TV+ cancelled the show. Well, that's the short version of what happened, the longer version doesn't make Apple look any better.
Yeah, I just saw that news the other day and it's pretty damn disappointing. I was really liking Apple÷ up to that point. A really bad look for them. Do not really think censoring someone as popular as Jon Stewart (or anyone of his vocal caliber) is a good idea?
Unfortunately true. It's hard to have a wide audience for news, politics, and deep dives on a streaming service.
Although, John Oliver has managed it pretty well, but it helps that they post the main segments in their entirety on YouTube while I think The Problem with Jon Stewart only ever posted portions.
