And the Next Cancelled Show is...

Ah, I watched it on Netflix, didn't realize it went to peacock for the last season.

I thought it was all right. Liked they did a floating continuity so they didn't have to keep changing up the kids. Thought it was stronger at the beginning when he was more of an ass than later one when his character became exactly what he said he wouldn't be in the first episode. Still, was a way to kill 20 minutes while doing something else.

I definitely like his entries….

“Okay, start shutting up!”

Etc.

I think I watched most of it while hanging outside making pulled pork in my smoker last summer. Watched it and The Mick after I watched It's Always Sunny for the first time.

^ Thanks, Netflix! Just because some of us haven't gotten to it the week it released. That's an incredibly quick cancellation.

Sometimes execs have incredibly twitchy trigger fingers. Other times, they pick up a series just so they'll have something to cancel...

The one bit from the Variety article that really grabbed me was that Cowboy Bebop was supposed to be the kickoff for a whole bunch of live-action adaptations of various anime properties, including One Piece and Pokémon. Have to wonder if the bosses at Netflix are reevaluating that whole strategy now.

Ditto. I'm not familiar with the original anime, but flicked through the first couple of minutes and added it to my watchlist.

The title is misleading.

Westerns suck.

For every Blazing Saddles, Back to the Future III or Django Unchained, there's every movie Clint Eastwood ever made, except for Every Which Way But Loose.

Netflix has been adapting anime to love action for years. The algorithm seems to predict it would be a bigger hit than it has been

Sounds like an expensive proposition. The thing was released just a few weeks ago. You sometimes have to give things a chance to find their audience.

I counter with Ennio Morricone. Ecstasy of Gold is an incredible piece of music.
