And the Next Cancelled Show is...

So yeah Jeffrey Tambor is gone from Transparent. They still are planning a 5th season with his character being dead. So insane.

Why I'm bringing it up again is this weird reply he had to groping charges...

Groping people wouldn't be viewed as being aggressive by the groper, hell I don't even see it as being aggressive, that's really not the word.

People seem to be standing up more for him than other actors because he denies it, but clearly he did it. If not a normal person who isn't guilty would go 'I didn't grope anyone!' and not give this longer BS version.

Please define "normal". Especially when guilty people might also lie and claim they didn't grope. Or people lying about being groped might be lying too. You, a NORMAL person, might be caught off guard with an insipid insinuation and stutter or be at a loss of words (as partial example of how an innocent person isn't always going to instantly chirp up with "I didn't do it!"). Appearances aren't everything, you know. But misperception seems to be.

And why did "The Drumhead" just come to mind? But that's just a TV show. Hollywood's nothing but a gaggle of gropers? :(

He reportedly left after budget issues and creative issues. Season 2 episodes are budgeted at... 10 million dollars each. Not enough money?!?!

Does the man carry a revolving door on him at all times? He seems to be having trouble staying with a job...

How many years was Fuller on "Voyager?" Also "Pushing Daises" only lasted one year, right? Chances are he would have came back if the show hadn't got canned.

Jason

I don't count the Star Treks his works because he left for creative issues and that makes perfect sense to me. But I guess he joined Voyager in the 5th season after working on DS9, but he wasn't a show-runner.

But Pushing Daisies got a 9 episode first season (writers' strike) and then a 13 episode second. He would have stayed on that being he wants to continue it in a play.

He left Dead Like Me after 6 episodes because Showtime wouldn't let him make the dad gay. Which was weird as their number one show was Queer as Folk.

Fox canceled Wonderfalls after 4 episodes.

Netflix has finally decided to remove Danny Masterson from "The Ranch" due to the rape allegations. He is apparently being written out of the show, and production will resume without him in 2018.

About damn time. Can't be a coincidence that news of one of the victims confronting a Netflix executive (unaffiliated with The Ranch or programming at large) happened just a few days ago.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It didn't look good when that executive said the higher-ups didn't believe the accusers.

There is something rotten in the state of Hollywood.

If only it were just Hollywood. That is the focus right now because the accused being in Hollywood shines a brighter light on them than on "regular" folks, but make no mistake, this culture of inappropriate sexual misconduct reaches far beyond Hollywood. It is sadly all around us, we just don't hear about it every night on the evening news, unless it is an especially egregious case. All of these recent accusations don't show me that Hollywood has a sexual misconduct problem, they reinforce something that every woman already knows: society at large has a sexual misconduct problem.

I think it's more an issue of the type of person that seeks fame, is narcissistic, that is drawn to professions with an artistic outlet that have problems with recognizing when boundaries are overstepped. I don't think it is wider society that has a problem.

How nice for you.

So, you don't think women regularly are harassed, objectified, patronized and generally considered to be less worthy as a human than a man? You don't think we live in a world where being compared to a girl is an insult, where women are taught from young age not to walk alone to reduce the odds of being violently attacked, and their entire purpose and value in life rests upon being attractive to men? In such a world, we would never dismiss a woman's claims of abuse without investigation nor elect officials who boast about sexual assault in smug satisfaction.

I would like to live in such a world. I have never discovered such a place but I will be on the lookout.

That is either incredibly naïve, or...?

or... just stupid

I never knew politics were artistic or reading the morning news was artistic. Please go on, dig your self a bigger hole.

I had an ex who was molested by his uncle. His uncle must have been super artistic because that's pedophile, molesting, AND incest. His uncle could become Senator or President.

So we no longer care about innocent until proven guilty? Because he denies it. I agree they needed to remove him at the same time, but it's really complicated when the guy is denying it. (Spacey admitted to it so fire that sicko.)

I believe them. Even if it was just one woman, I would believe her. But it's four women who have accused him.

Howard Weinstein still denies the accusations. So does Bill Cosby. And so do many, many other men.

I know and I agree, and I believe the women, but at some point one of these guys are going to get fired and actually be innocent. So I'm hoping that Netflix actually looks into these things a little bit.

Also, if anyone below 100 cares, Time Magazine didn't name Trump cuck... sorry I meant 'person' of the year, they named all the women who he has molested or raped with the #metoo.

So #metoo is Persons of the Year!
