And the Next Cancelled Show is...

The Last Tycoon was canceled too. Amazon is cutting back on their programing. I might be cutting back on their service.

That's a shame I enjoyed series 1 and was hoping for more and I have just seen they have also cancelled the beginning of everything. That means I only have 2 shows left on there that I watch.

I'm guessing we won't be getting a full season of Oasis then.

Nope. The only show they announced was Te 50s Jewish comedian show, it got picked up for two seasons.

I watched two seasons of Transparent and I hate it. It's jumpy, I feel like the storylines just are chunky and not a flowing story. Plus there isn't a single character there I wouldn't want to die painfully. They are self centered assholes.

Cutting back on some programs to make room for other programs it seems. Apparently, Jeff Bezos wants a Game of Thrones hit on his network.
I still vote for a Rome-style, commoners-to-presidents epic on the American Civil War. Not only could it be great American history in its own right, but it could take on HBO's Confederate head-to-head, and, given how touchy the prospect of that series has proven, an actual Civil War series could be a big hit and damage/help kill a major HBO series.

As for "Tong Wars, a new historical drama set in the criminal underbelly of 19th century San Francisco": I dunno, sounds kind of like Boardwalk Empire/Deadwood: West Coast Version. As in, could be solid to great as drama, but it also sounds a bit been there, done that. Maybe they're hoping for a crossover hit with China? Didn't much work for Netflix's Marco Polo, but that might have been a hard sell to both American and Chinese audiences. (I've certainly never much wondered what the sex-and-violence story behind that kids' pool game was.)

I also tend to think that if they want a water-cooler show like Game of Thrones, they should release seasons a week/episode at a time a la Handmaid's Tale, rather than the full-dump model. It's hard to discuss the latest twists of a show like The Man in the High Castle when some have watched the whole season in its first weekend, and others are part-way through. The full season dump may have gotten Netflix some series novelty points, and now is part of their brand, but I see no reason why Amazon should consider themselves bound to the same model. If anything, it smacks of Follow the Leader.

And in the who cares column Freeform has canceled Stitchers

I do care though somewhat. It was a semi good way to pass the time in the Summer when not much is on. And of course it ended on a cliffhanger.

Mini Me, I mean Young Sheldon has been picked up for a full 22 episode season after one episode.

Even though the second episode doesn't air until November.
