I'm willing to take it at face value that she wanted to focus on projects as an activist. After all, she's still working with Netflix.
I forgot what that show was about.
Yeah, Netflix pretty much gave her free reign to do what she wanted with the show, and I was pretty impressed. The topics broached on that show made it pretty refreshing. I always thought she was an activist, just in the way she talked and positioned herself, so maybe it's more of a wink-wink nudge-nudge.

Unforgettable was the cop show about Detective Carrie Wells who has one of those perfect photographic memories. She can recall dates, times, people anything like that. She uses that skill in her police work.
Anyway the show ending was not cancelled at the end of season 4 so it all ended on a huge cliffhanger.

We used to watch that regularly (Didn't it get cancelled and then brought back at the end of one season?) but yeah, I'd forgotten how it ended

It got cancelled I think at the end of season 2 then brought back to life for season 3 and 4.
The series ends with Carrie and her partner Al Burns talking and from out of nowhere he is shot in the chest by a sniper. Roll credits.

Back in the day, there was another show I had been watching (Taxi: Brooklyn - not a particularly good show) and I think they went all out for a cliffhanger ending too (and got promptly cancelled)
That ended with the main characters boyfriend getting shot, her partners family kidnapped and his friend being shot, her mother probably blown up in a ferry explosion etc, etc.
Will it have explosions?
Zoo being cancelled.. Not surprised I couldn't continue the show past season 1 I found it just plain bonkers.
I'm surprised it lasted beyond season 1, to be honest. The novel it was based on wasn't that great to begin with, but the series managed to make it even worse.
The novel was as nonsensical as the TV show... The reaons given for the animal uprising make no sense, and can't be justified.
Plus doesn't James Patterson farm out most of his work like a sweatshop? He makes ideas and a bunch of writers make the books? He just slaps his name on them.
But suspect that's not what you meant...
No I meant Axanar looks better, is better wrote and had better acting than Discovery

I dunno, but I can honestly say I wasn't too impressed with his writing. But if he farms it out, that'd explain how he has so many of them out there at once. Seems to have a new one out every week, or every time I go to Costco and end up checking on the books. Zoo was my one and only, and that was only because a friend of mine told me about it.
I have read Zoo once, and never looked at it again. I just didn't get it or the hype around it.
Yeah, same here. However, I feel that a better writer would have maybe done it better, but on the other hand, it was just a crazy concept. He was trying too hard to channel Crichton.
At least Crichton for all his faults would have tried to make things seem somewhat scientifically plausible.. That's why Timeline is one of my favourite books of his. He went into great detail.
On the other hand the movie of that book was an atrocious pile of shit.
BTW how is it that Will & Grace are back from the dead?
