This unfortunate fail was a Saturday morning kids show for adults at night time.
What eventually annoyed me about it was how rigid it's assembly line was that every week every "event" or "section" would proceed in exactly the same order, with a very similar series of lead ups and segues.
It didn't feel organic.
If BTE'd been two hours long instead of 1, they could have ####ed around a little more and had some time off script, like those morning kids shows (who presented cartoons, and stuck quasi celebrities into slime dunk tanks while we were waiting for the new episode of Dinosaucers) in the 80s used to do.
But then NBC would have lost even more money.
