And the Next Cancelled Show is...

Maybe they need a year or two where they make money before they can allow themselves to make television again?

I have never watched it but they creators thought they had a few more seasons left to tell, but most of the fans went "This season sucked and it felt like a finale".

However USA has been canceling everything, they used to be number 1 in cable shows, now they don't even have one cable show.

Suits, Royal Pains, Graceland, and Satisfaction - and that's just the dramas.

Dumb people think that they're smart for watching Suits.

Royal Pains has to get a tax credit from the Hamptons. It's a flagrant advertisement for tourism. And if this isn't so, the person who should have made that so is an idiot.

Graceland is pretty good.

Satisfaction has no idea what it's goals are or what direction it is going in.

I just saw about Covert Affairs on FB. Was anyone even still watching? I stopped about half-way through season 3--not long after Dudek left.

The show was already starting to fall apart by then.

I'm glad USA is keeping Suits and Pains though. The last season of Suits faltered a bit, but I think they can still right the ship.

Pains just trudges along. It's never outstanding but is consistently entertaining. It's nice that it will hit the century mark.

Selfie is probably going to be on this list soon. The first episode was a real misfire, IMHO.

Supposedly the pilot that was available to watch in advance was better than the pilot they ended up airing because they cut out a lot of the heart.

This is said for John Cho even more so-he was the first male Asian star of a show, and the prime motivator (as the Henry Higgins who helps out this show's Eliza Doolittle.) I'd suspect race has a hand to play in the show's cancellation, but that's probably wrong. Still, I don't relish the thought of him being second banana in some cop show behind the white lead-which will probably happen.

What the frack ever happened to giving shows a chance to survive on TV for a while?

Poor Cho. Though he wasn't lead, he did have a supporting character role on Go On, which I loved, but NBC cancelled after one season. He was great on both shows, and it would be nice to see him cast in a show that has some staying power.

Trek tv series?

CW basically announced 95% of its line up for next season already by renewing...

Arrow
Jane The Virgin
Reign
Supernatural
The 100

The Flash
The Originals
The Vampire Diaries

That probably leaves Hart of Dixie all but cancelled and makes it clear for new shows yet to air that they need to pull in the numbers or be gone.

Reign and The 100 I thought weren't doing that great. I think Maybe CW is getting some tax breaks or something. They could also do 13 episode seasons and summer shows.

It is weird though they did it so early (Why I think tax breaks might be in play) because what do they plan on doing for new shows next year? Just not have any?

How much longer can Supernatural go for?

CBS Renews Madam Secretary, Scorpion, NCIS: New Orleans

What an NCIS show gets renewed for a second season?! No way!

CBS Renews Madam Secretary, Scorpion, NCIS: New Orleans

Madam Secretary is the next "Good Wife"...Good Total Viewers + Poor Demo + Critical Reception = 5/6 year run

Also the noose tightens for POI, CSI & Stalker with these pickups and with the fact "Good Wife" is going to get a 7th final year leaving less room with the new pilots soon to be picked up.

Season 4 of covert affairs was a bit of a dud I thought though I did see all of it. I guess it did badly enough here that the channel that was airing it didn't get season 5.

Beauty and the Beast is apparently still on the bubble.

Strange that it has several tie-in novels either on-the-way or released already. The show gets abysmal ratings (in the States) and its (likely) final season hasn't even been scheduled yet, but tie-in novels are generated for it?

:confused:Baffling.

I could see keeping B&B round for these short 13 episode runs (s3 is only 13 eps) to fill in gaps and build a library up to sell on for reruns.
