And the Next Cancelled Show is...

He is set to return. He's already trying to run away from Kelly Ripa (or whatever her name is).

That'd be ridiculous seeing as they just literally announced him as a host last week. But Ryan doesn't strike me as loyal anyway. He'd probably just go with what pays him more.

It's synergy. Seacrest hosts with Ripa on ABC, New Idol is on ABC. Idol is taped except for the results shows. He takes one day off a week from Ripa to appear on the same network. Win-win for Seacrest, ABC, Idol and Ripa

He can do both. American Idol is only going to be on for like 10 weeks a year, both are on the same network Hell just move the show to NY and he won't even nee to fly.

Taken renewed and Rosewood & so called Sleepy Hollow have been canceled. Thank you Satan.

I think Timeless will be canceled next.

Oh, I was referring more to the fact that you said he was trying to run away. But yes, doing both would make more sense, especially as it's been pointed out to both of them being on the same network.

I was just making fun of Kelly Ripa who I can't stand and that seems every co-host of her's ditches. He ditched after his first day. ;)

Oh, you mean when she had temporary hosts? I'm kind of surprised it took this long to find another permanent one, to be honest. Remains to be seen how long he'll last though.

I only know Kelly from Hope and Faith... A reason they couldn't get a fresh new host is if they had to pay out a former host for their full contract without working most of that contract, which means that they didn't have the money to hire someone permanent.

Is Kelly the female Bill O'Reilly?

Yeah, like Strahan, who abruptly left last year after GMA offered him a position for more money. Though, I think that's more on the network and their decision as the show didn't even know about it until it happened. I'm not too fond of Ryan as co-host, but at least it's not Jerry O'Connell. I find him to be an annoying host.

I agree, I find him to be annoying in general but Kelly seems to scare hosts away. The male hosts always ditch her, and Ryan on his first day is like "I'll gladly get away from her!"

So, interesting news (albeit from 6 days ago), but HBO is planning not one, but four spin-off's in the Game of Thrones universe once the main show ends after season 8 - maybe sooner. Benioff & Weiss have signed on as executive producers and Martin is involved as well. :sigh: I guess we'll never see those final two books now...

Depends on how you look at it. But the last one wasn't her fault at all. It was GMA offering him a better paying position and her show didn't know until the same day it happened and they were left in a lurch. But anyway, this is pretty trivial...

My point is, is there really a market for Kelly Ripa and 'Live!'? I have nevr actually met anyone who has watched it regularly, hell even my grandma skips it.

You will see them....

On TV! :-p

I'm actually surprised there isn't currently 1-2 spinoffs on the air right now. I'm hoping maybe they won't do all four at once, or 1-2 will only be miniseries. Four yearly spinoffs at once is over kill. It's like having four Law and Orders or four Chicago Shits.... oh.... :)

More importantly to me, the popularity of Game of Thrones was what I was pinning my hopes of a Wild Cards series coming to HBO on - but that's probably nowhere in the cards now. :(
