And the Next Cancelled Show is...

And now it won't ever be.

Vaulting a movie before it ever sees the light of day for a tax write-off is some cynical, Uwe Boll-level bullshit. Fuck David Zaslav and the horse he rode in on.

And Congressman Joaquin Castro is asking the Justice Department and FTC to look into this type of situation. He believes it to be "predatory and anti-competitive."

Shadow and Bone: Derivative, did not watch.
Glamorous
: Saw the pilot. The lead's long finger nails grossed me out.
Agent Elvis: Sigh, should have been live action
Farzar: Saw the pilot. Not funny.
Captain Fall: Saw the pilot, funny, but its the love boat plus archer, and could have very easily been done live action. Not enough omph. Although I have a friend on a cruise liner who may be lost at sea because his facebook stopped working, and I was watching the News and a new COVID boat showed up in Sidney Harbour asking for relief. So my friend is probably dead.

Nothing anyone will miss.

Not a cancellation, but the CW's new business strategy of acquiring English-language shows from other countries to air seems to be backfiring spectacularly because they start airing them, the ratings are awful and then they pull them part way through.

Seal Team will end after 7 seasons. Is the David Boreanaz streak coming to an end or will he find another show for the 2024-25 season?

Blue Bloods will end after 14 seasons. They will film 18 episodes, with 10 airing in the spring and 8 airing in the fall.

They might want to consider subtitled Korean dramas.... could be worth the money spent for them

Top Gear has been "paused indefinitely" following an accident on the race track back in December 2022, which sent one of the hosts to the hospital.

Disney+ canceled The Muppets Mayhem after one season. A shame considering it was the rare post-Henson Muppets project that I really enjoyed and felt like it properly captured the Muppet spirit. For me, the only other two that truly managed that are (obviously) The Muppets Christmas Carol and, to a lesser degree, Muppet Treasure Island. I even remember thinking "Finally! Someone gets them."

That said, I'm not surprised the show got low ratings considering the Electric Mayhem are rather niche. I imagine the average viewer wouldn't be able to name any of them aside from Animal.

MSNBC is rearranging and purging shows now:

The Mehdi Hasan Show is ending with Ayman Mohyeldin's show expanding and taking over the Hasan timeslot.

Yasmin Vossoughian Reports is ending with Alex Witt Reports expanding into that timeslot.

Starting in January, a new series, The Weekend, hosted by Michael Steele, Symone Sanders-Townsend and Alicia Menendex, will air Saturday and Sunday morning.

The Saturday Show and The Sunday Show (Jonathan Capehart's morning shows) will move to the evenings.

The Katie Phang Show will move from 8 A.M. on weekends to noon.
