And apprently, you'd probably want to prosecute all those folks who believe in alien life, who believe we have been visited....and not in mainstream belief in that we are all there is, and that we managed to build all those incredible feats of engineering, yet we somehow managed to lose. Or that we are the highest forms of life. Not to mention you don't seem to care about first amendment rights, either. Might as well go out and send police and federal agents to go crack down on various talk radio progams, paranormal conferences, books and television shows that discuss such stuff and so on. Ego, scientists, well the closed minded ones in the mainstream, are more arrogant than rock stars and pro athletes, only difference is the last two get more sexual congress.

To mainstream scientists, the ones on a big, fat government grant, anyhow, look at paranormal investigators as bugs, insects, thorns in the side, or even using unflattering ethic nicknames when describing how they fell about us.

Give him time, he probably finds the idea of supression of ideas more enjoyable than sex....his type often does. Plus remember, mainstream scientists, historians, politicians, military authorities and the like have one thing in commen, they love to play god and want nothing more than to throw a few thunderbolts at us, the 'unwashed' as it may be. Plus they'd rather bite of their own tongues and swallow it than even suggest their answers might be wrong, even in the slightest.

Personally, I don't know which is more dogmatic, the mainstream scientific community, or the mainstream religious community....at the latter have been proven to be able to convert and change their view points at certain times. And I remember Hahi Hawas threating to chop of Richard Hoagland's head should he ever come to Eygpt, which he plans to do....given Zahi's track record (I heard ole's Zahi might be having some legal problems and if guilty, might spend a year in jail....been a while since I heard this, still is ammusing, and sad, in a way, though), and that he's threatening harm to alternative ideas and theories, My Name is Legion would probably get all warm and tingly as such an suggestion.

Like I said before, you've got to give people some type of evidence. I simply don't buy that paintings somehow represent proof of alien involvement. Is imagination something unique to modern man? I simply don't buy that people couldn't have built things like the pyramids. The Romans were able to build bridges, aqua-ducts and even a coliseum without modern tools.

You've got to offer more than, "I don't know, therefore aliens" as proof for these theories. Give me an alien rivet or gum wrapper or something... anything that is tangible proof.

Mainstream scientists are a bunch of lying arrogant close-minded idiots. Independent science is the way to go. I always choose my homoeopathic doctor. I cleanse my colon regularly. I always put my girlfriend through the polygraph to tell if she's cheating on me... all of them have failed me so far – who could tell? And, you know what? Right now I'm saving money for my new perpetual motion apartment battery pack, because my previous one broke. Ha! And while these corrupt scientists are denying its existence, I'm enjoying my free energy and laughing hard. I hope this time I can get a water-fuelled engine for my car too.

I would like to share more about the amazing things they are hiding from you, but right now I have to run to investigate this crop circle on my cornfield that says “Yellow Submarine is a gullible cuckoo”, and figure out what the aliens are trying to tell me. Oh, there are plenty of *bad* scientists - or, worse, *bought* scientists - throughout history, who were or are like that!

Thankfully there's the also the good ones, who do indeed get that it's the job of science to accept new discoveries.

It's just that neither type of them really have anything to do with ancient aliens, since they never existed. Or if they did exist, they sensibly kept out of the way and didn't interfere...

Actually, it's the job of a scientist to reject or at least attempt to disprove new discoveries, not to accept them. The point of science is skepticism. It's only after the idea has withstood all rigorous challenges that scientists can think of that it should be accepted.

Ancient aliens - and other similar ideas.
Any remotely objective investigation shows that their existence is ridiculously improbable.

Why? Because the only way to assert their existence is to posit a great many ridiculously improbable assumptions in order to squeeze them into observed facts: ~we can't see them, but they exist and hide/are incredibly good at hiding to the point of being above natural law.

For example - UFOs or big foot always stay just beyond the range where the increasing numbers of cameras can take clear pictures of them (in the past, when the cameras were less performant, they used to come a lot closer). Aren't they lucky?

Or - Ancient monuments were built with the knowledge and means of our ancestors (we even know how).
But wait - aliens did the heavy lifting and managed to leave no verifiable - credible - account of their existence. The ancients knew nothing and had nothing above their level of knowledge and technology.
I guess that, beyond building a LOT of monuments for the locals - just because - they were tight-lipped, etc.

You're entirely wrong, of course. My only error with regard to this "ancient aliens" horseshit is to have, as Robert Heinlein once put it, "fallen into the fatal folly of reading."

There is no science in these hypotheses. There are no facts as such, simply ridiculous speculations based upon misrepresentations of facts presented without their real context in the confidence on the part of the presenters that their audience is composed of rubes, boobs and suckers. There's not a first-rate intellect anywhere in the field of hucksters, charlatans and delusional nutjobs who manage to keep this foolishness alive - generally as an alternative to any of them doing honest work for their livings.

Ancient Alien theory is the same brand of drivel as intelligent design. A lack of curiosity about the universe leading people to say "a wizard did it".

It also denigrates everything our ancestors accomplished. Human beings aren't clever, it says. Everything cultured about us comes from outer space. It vastly underestimates what the human race is capable of, and makes massive assumptions.

Well, judging from cave painting, statues and so on, many of them were not human looking either. I am not saying it's not the case, but I don't see how that reason is more acceptible than an actual ET visitation.

Easy. Ancient human civilizations are proven to exist. Aliens aren't. Therefore, it's far less of a leap to postulate an advanced human civilization than an advanced alien one.

And how come we can't do something folks did many thousands of years ago? There's no real scroll, tablet or anything that tells how they did it. And them going, "Let's build something as difficult as possible....and with mere copper tools and so on". I myself really want to know how stones 100's of tons in size were cut, moved, lifted and fitted so precisely.

They were not idiots, you know.

And someone saying a person like Van Daniken outta be arrested and prosecuted.....that's sorta like shit telling vomit it stinks, because you don't have any credibility to me if you're the type saying arrest each and every one of them.

The authorities that arrested Galileo without even looking at his information and notes probably thought he was not doing any 'honest work' either.

Hell, there's folks who refuse to believe the Sphinx could be at least twice as old than thought to be, despite water eroison all over it and its enclosure. Double it that it looks nothing like Chephren, I see the face of what I think is a black woman. My own theory of the Sphinx was that Chephren, if he had anything to do with the Sphinx, was that he repaired it, and not built it. If the statue of Ramsis could be made so perfectly, and yet the Sphinx looking nothing like the man mainstream explaination says it's suppossed to represent....something's not right.

Oh, and if stuff like Van Daniken's books, Richard Hoagland's research, Coast to Coast AM (which is a very high rated late night talk show, and I'm seeing new affliates appearing all the time) and so on are such boobs and charlatans, why is there stuff talked off offten, in a positive manner ( I know, that probably shocks, offends and shames you) and why are more people openly talking about it....not to mention over 50% of Americans believe in intelligent alien life, over 75% in Russia....if it's all foolishness? You might think all these folks are the n word of the scientific community (my old chemisty teacher on college even said anyone thinking outside the box was the n word of scientists...though he said the entire word. And yet...for such a 'respectible' guy, he had the lowest attendence reocrd for students staying with him. Big surprise. )

Remember, the Wright Brothers were flying for several years and people still said they never flew.

Give me some proof as how they did it, 100% proof, especially if they had only copper tools and primative stuff to work with, yet with perfect prescision. And who were their 'gods'? Myth and Legends have some root of truth to them somewhere.

And considering the weird things in the sky that can move at high speeds, make L turns and stop on a dime and all that stuff tells me something's up.

Plus the fact we got primative people who did these things that we are only learning or able to do recently, tells me that, be it either some technologically advanced people or aliens were at it, and that contemporary history needs to be looked at very carefully. Especially seeing as how, for example the hyroglyphs on obolisks are so perfect, and clean and repeated perfectly as if a machine did the work.
