Anchorman 2 will DESTROY the Top 376 Films of ALL TIME!

I remember going to see Anchorman in the theatre, and I was the only one laughing. When Baxter started barking at Ron, and they understood each other, I was in hysterics. I think more people were looking at me than the movie! I knew it wouldn't be popular, but I didn't care. I think it's a comedy classic.

It seems over the years, though, it's also turned into this cult classic, which I'm really happy about. As far as lacking in the story department, I think you need to look at it kind of like a Monty Python movie...a funny bunch of people getting together with a vague idea to string together a bunch of hilarious ideas, sketches, and Whose Line Is It? type comedy sequences.

But if you don't like that kind of thing, or don't like Will Ferrell, don't bother. You're never going to like it. If you're looking for a great story, you obviously don't get it and it's not for you. Which is totally cool. :)

SON OF A MAN-NIPPLE! this is good news. I find Anchorman (and the patchwork of crazy that is Wake Up, Ron Burgundy) eminently re-watchable and hi-larious, so more of the same gives me a happy.

But the 376 films in question are even MORE awesome. And THE AVENGERS has moved up from 375 to 75. None of the 376 feature Will Ferrell, though since I've yet to see ANCHORMAN part one, I'll concede it might be his one good movie.

The 376 didn't include ZoolandeR?

It's an acquired taste.

I didn't care for it when I saw it in theaters, but liked it when I saw it on home video. Still not interested in the sequel though.

I never got into Farrel, Tried watching Anchorman on TBS a couple to a few weeks ago and fell asleep. Probably no chance on liking this movie as well as Farrels others he has put out....sorry two thumbs down.

Two thumbs down without even seeing it all the way thru?

I'll admit it's not for everyone, but judging it on a heavily edited for TV cut simply isn't fair.

Some memorable lines, but the stuff in between wasn't all that good.

Kind of how I feel, some good lines, sort-of a good idea, but I think it lacks in the story department but I'll give it another watch.

If you don't think this is the best movie ever, I will fight you.
