We may disagree on spaces after a period, but I'll hold your coat while you do the correction thing (are whips and chains involved? Please?
) regarding commas and semi-colons.
It would be impossible for me to unlearn double spacing after a period, and I'm not going to try. It's automatic, from the days of learning to touch type on a manual typewriter with actual striking keys and then an IBM Selectric in 1984. But thanks for helping to figure out why my phone sometimes does not give me capital letters. It's all that texting with my opposable thumbs.

After having MLA drilled into me and being taught to use two spaces after each period, I enrolled in a Master's program that uses APA, which demands only one space after each period. Fine, be that way, but you can't take my two spaces away from me on the internet!
