Would you guys like to see an Enterprise film set during the Romulan War and Rise of the Federation it doesn't have to copy the Enterprise Relaunch books but give a reasonable explanation as to what happened to the characters (except Trip, although they could try and rework that finale like they did in the books), give closure to the storylines and possibly link into Discovery

I'd have preferred they made this film: Star Trek: The Beginning. It's pure prequel wank (Kirk and Spock's grandparents team up, steal a nuke and fly off to Romulus to stop the war) but it sounds so far out and crazy I think there's a slim chance it may have been awesome.

And Shran has a cameo.

As for the here and now, nope. I'd be far more interested in a film about Balthazar Edison and the Franklin MACOs during the Romulan War.

I'd sooner Nick Meyer turned his hand to this, instead of a mini-series about Khan. We've already been led up one dead end with that character. Exploring how the Federation came to be is much more important than this particular villain's backstory or how he spent his exile on Ceti Alpha V. And a clever man like Meyer can obviously draw parallels with the Romulans & North Korea in an allegorical way.

I would've loved to see this ten years ago, but too much time has passed now. We'll just have to be satisfied with the novels.

Pretty much this. The time for something like this is long gone. And I'm sure it wouldn't have lived up to most peoples' expectations anyway.

Last year there was a fantastic fanfilm that takes place during the Romulan war made by Tommy Craft .Star Trek Horizons you can find it on Youtube. I highly recommend it. There's also a fanfilm series called The Romulan wars on Youtube that I;ve watched that's been really interesting they're going to wrap up their Romulan war series as a 2 parter soon.

A Romulan War story = exciting. A birth of the Federation story = dull.

Keep the political aspects in the background, and the heroic war story upfront might be workable.

A feature film for the theaters? No.

A brief miniseries or a couple TV movies of the week? Sure, why not.

why not combine the two. war and politics in the same movie. it work well with Rogue One.

Some kind of Earth-Romulan war series would be cool. I think it would be interesting as a CGI series like The Clone Wars or Rebels, with different arcs taking place and allowing a whole bunch of different characters. In The Beginning made the war sound like it lasted a couple of days but I've always imagined it taking place over several years and with different stages to the war, including the Romulans making it pretty close to Earth at some point before being turned back. I don't want any more Enterprise episodes or films but references to Enterprise and what she's up to in another series would be cool (and if it were CGI it would allow cast members to return to voice their characters). I don't see this ever happening.

I would love to see either of these, or even another story set during Enterprise. Hell, I would love 3 more seasons, even if they were set years after season 4 with some sort of time jump to explain the actors ageing.

While an ENT comeback is further away than it has ever been, this approach to mirror a real world passage of time is the best option. Go the Babylon 5 route, with the Earth/Minbari war long over but with secrets that are gradually revealed about what main characters did during it. Begin with a reunion of the NX-01 crew, either aboard the Enterprise brought out of mothballs or an early Federation U.S.S. replacement. Then track certain story arcs backward to the Romulan War and the 2161 charter signing through flashbacks a decade before.

Id like to see some kind of Enterprise continuation, but I don't think it would happen. Too many of the cast would probably not return and Trip is dead. Bakula and Montgomery have regular TV gigs. Blalock is extremely rich and only acts occasionally. If Bakula would not leap back, I wouldnt mind seeing Sharn in the captain's chair, post-Federation.
