Amok Time blooper?

NTRPRZ

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
Folks
After all these years, I just noticed something in "Amok Time."
After the lirpa fight, where Kirk has his shirt slit open, McCoy gives him a shot, ostensibly of a tri-ox compound. When DeForest Kelly pulls his hand away after giving the hypo, then grips Kirk's arm, you can see the fake 'blood' from Shatner's chest on his fingers. The line of blood on Shatner's chest also is slightly smeared.
But nowhere do we see Kelly touch Shatner's chest.
I'm thinking this scene was put together out of several shots, and if it was noticed in post production, they let it go.
It's just funny how we can spot new stuff we've never seen before in something that's 40 years old.

Oh please - that's minor when you have the close ups with Kirk's shirt ripped; and then a long shot where the shirt isn't ripped/ripped in the WRONG spot. :guffaw:

Also, given some of the doubles they used in other episode fight sequences... ;)

Here in Australia, in the aired version, you never see the gong get broken. I was pleased to see the uncut DVD and the scene where it breaks in half during the battle!

I was just watching this episode Saturday and noticed a continuity error concerning T'Pring. In one shot she's shown from the side/rear walking toward the altar. In a subsequent reverse shot, she's shown starting to walk towards the altar.

Hey NoName
I was just making a point -- that it's interesting to notice something you've never noticed before in something you've seen over and over again. I'm not obsessing on it, I just think it's -- interesting.

What about when T'Pau is chattin' up with Kirk and Spock (deep in da Plak Tow, in the background is just casually leaning up against the rocks watching.

Guess I should have made the ;) in my original post bigger (or more prevelent). As a fan who's been watching TOS from day one (of the third season ;)); I can spot SO MANY bigger errors - but my response was also supposed to come across as more 'tongue in cheek' then it looks like it did.
