Felonies from simple drug charges...thereby restricting gun ownership...states and cities restricting gun ownership, the 2nd amendment is dieing...

So, we should give criminals more guns?

That'll end well.

Nonviolent criminals do not deserve to have weapons restrictions...

So we should wait until they become violent criminals then? Because not a single person has even been killed with weapons when drugs are involved?

Hell any felony should still have gun rights, it is the erosion of the 2nd amendment to say otherwise...

Don't worry, I'm sure the 2nd Amendment will be strong again in 50 years. Until then, let's make sure the economy is stable. You can wait until then to buy a gun.

What freedom, we are no freer then the british are now...

Freedom of speech, right to carry arms - things that the British don't have or aren't guarenteed through any constitution.

hang on - hasn't the U.S Supreme Court struck down several state/city attempts on the control of fire arms (think one involved Washington D.C), another location has recently mandated at the least the ownership if not carrying of a fire arm.

Obama lifted a ban on the carrying of fire arms in national parks (something that had been in place since Reagan iirc).

Sounds like the 2nd amendment is doing quite well to me.

There's this.

Awesome Possum wins teh thread!

And all the international tyranny that goes with it.

You don't know what the word "tyranny" means, child.

The best example of tyranny in this country's history was people owning other people. We called it "slavery." We fought a war which ended it and punished the slaveholders. :techman:

Hell, the government should just hand them out to prisoners. Because the 2nd Amendment mentions guns.
So...

How is it not? You think felons should have guns, prisoners are felons. Let's take your logic train to its conclusion where it derails at Reality Junction.
