I read it, I am just saying keeping emotions aside, the forceful freeing of the slaves crippled our federal governments future growth, corrupting it die to the surge of power it enjoyed during the war, and the slaves would have been freed anyway sooner or later.

So it's not about freedom or human rights, it's about money. Black people were just resources to be used and exploited to make the economy stable.

As I said before, would you come work for me for 50 years? You will have no freedom, but I will let your grandchildren go free. Hell, I'm giving you more options than the southern slaves had. I'm actually letting you enter into this contract willfully.

Seriously, just 50 years. I'll let your grandchildren go. Deal?

Was that freedom worth all the dead men...

To save the lives of the oppressed and enslaved from evil? Yes.
Now, since you obviously value freedom much less, come work for me. I'll let your grandchildren go in 50 years. Promise.
Again, I'm giving you the option of giving up your freedom instead of simply taking it from you. Come on, it's only 50 years.

It's evident you value black people less, because you're okay with them being enslaved another 50 years, but you get indignant over not being able to fire a gun anywhere you want.

What freedom, we are no freer then the british are now...

Freedom of speech, right to carry arms - things that the British don't have or aren't guarenteed through any constitution.

Felonies from simple drug charges...thereby restricting gun ownership...states and cities restricting gun ownership, the 2nd amendment is dieing...

So, we should give criminals more guns?

That'll end well.

Nonviolent criminals do not deserve to have weapons restrictions...
