When life hands you lemons, make tortured rationalizations about the motives and methods of the Confederacy.
God bless America.
My God. What if life hands you melons?!

No I supported secession for state rights and fair tariffs.
No I supported secession for state rights and fair tariffs.
The states' rights to keep slaves?
Doesn't matter what they were for or not, as i said slavery would have died out in 50 or so years anyway.
As a bunch of Germans learned after WWII, "only following orders" is not an excuse.
After the ones who didn't follow orders were executed, and not the same at all, quit comparing nazis to confederates...
And you completely an utterly missed the point.
it was about the ability soldiers have to refuse illegal orders and that the excuse of "following orders" doesn't provide any protection.
My ancestors fought against federal tyranny and unfair trade tariffs.

It does from immediate execution on the frontline...

So then the enslaved black people were just collateral. You merely support the rights of states to reject the tariffs and to allow for black people to be used as cattle. That's what states rights' are. That's what you're defending, is a state's right to oppress it's people as it sees fit, by making them less than human. That's a terrible thing to support.
You did, after all, read that link I gave you, didn't you? You said you would. Surely you wouldn't just ignore it and continue to argue from ignorance, would you?

Fighting for a country that didn't want to let go slavery? Yeah, anti-tranny. And the trade tariffs were resolved before the war.
If you call the federal gov saying shut up and deal with it solving it...

Better to die a hero than live your life as a villain.
...the forceful freeing of the slaves crippled our federal governments future growth...

If everyone had some nice melons to get their hands on the world would be a much happier place.

We'll see how you deal with that choice when its btw staying alive or getting your name on a plaque in a 100 years or so.

I read it, I am just saying keeping emotions aside, the forceful freeing of the slaves crippled our federal governments future growth, corrupting it die to the surge of power it enjoyed during the war, and the slaves would have been freed anyway sooner or later.

So it's not about freedom or human rights, it's about money. Black people were just resources to be used and exploited to make the economy stable.
As I said before, would you come work for me for 50 years? You will have no freedom, but I will let your grandchildren go free. Hell, I'm giving you more options than the southern slaves had. I'm actually letting you enter into this contract willfully.
Seriously, just 50 years. I'll let your grandchildren go. Deal?
Was that freedom worth all the dead men...

You're defending slavery.
Freedom is always worth the cost.
